In this tutorial we will install the 3.41 firmware, knowing that the method is the same for any updated firmware whatever.

PREREQUISITES:

- A USB flash drive or other storage media formatted as FAT32. (Minimum size 256 MB).

- A safe and well-ps3 3.41 or lower as in my example the last 3.41 update is installed, you can now install any update on your console if it is equal to or greater than the last update that was installed on your console 

At first:

We must prepare your storage media (USB key), format the USB stick fat32, just go to desktop (or laptop for vista and windows 7) and right-click the key, then click format must be completed no box, just select the format of the format which in our case FAT32. (Just a quick format).

When formatting is finished, go to your USB stick and create a new folder called "PS3" and then you go into that folder and you create a new one called "UPDATE", then you place the downloaded file which called "PS3UPDAT.PUP" in the UPDATE folder.

This gives way like this: PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP and here is your key to the priest uses.

NOTE: You can put any PS3UPDAT.PUP file that contains another update as 3.41 as 2.10 or 3.55 ect .. This is the same method.

There are two ways to update your console:

NOTE : The console will restart several times during installation, this is normal.
